LGS has a FDE 9mm version for $400, I see a few on gunbroker for just below that but by time you pay shipping and FFL the local pistol is cheaper.

I've seen the videos of these pistols firing due to being shaked up and down. I know it's probably not a good EDC.

But I'm a sucker for long slides and full sized pistols. Are the OSS worth 400 for a range or fun gun, maybe put a sightmark mini on top.

FO or NO?

It's a Taurus. The question, "Is a Taurus pistol really that bad?" should answer itself.

Friends don't let friends buy Taurus.

I own this exact model and color. It's an amazing shooter; accurate, comfortable, and the trigger is better than you can imagine.

The guns that fired from shaking were all Brazilian contract police guns.  I've never heard of an American-market OSS or LS doing this.

HOWEVER!  The OSS has a major flaw that doesn't get much press.  The locking surfaces will beat each other to death over time, leaving you with a pistol that can't even lock into battery.  I sent mine back to Taurus for repair and I'm pretty sure they sent me a pistol with new parts and the same problem waiting to happen.  I would offload this thing, but with the press from the recall...I'm pretty well stuck.

You would be better off with a Hi Point,at least it's priced right next to the price of a shitastic Taurus.
