I know there was another thread on this before, but.... We were going over my wife's 1st paycheck of 2013 details to see why the net pay was less than normal, thanks to Kenyancare / tax increase, she is loosing a extra $30 every paycheck. Social Security Taxes went back to their normal 6.2%.
Congress and Executive Branch let it happen. Rather than cut back Social Security services. Pay now or pay later. If you may ever need benefits, the program needs money to pay for them. Can't have it it both ways. You're lucky it was only about $30 bi-weekly. Could be worse...and higher incomes pay the same rate as everyone else. I personally don't like that plan at all. |

Right in front of us with a buggy full of groceries, I mean FULL TO THE TOP of groceries was a hispanic woman with a neck tattoo, carrying a Prada handbag...and you know what she paid for her $196.00 worth of groceries with? A Lonestar Card aka EBT card aka 'food stamps'. I found myself just boiling with anger as I watched her flapping her yap on her cell phone, and having someone from the store push her cart out to her car to help her load her groceries for her. Neck tattoo, check. Smart Phone, check. Prada Handbang, check. Her own car, Check. BITCH IF YOU'VE GOT MONEY FOR A FUCKING CAR, PHONE, AND DESIGER HANDBAG, YOU DON'T NEED MONEY FOR FOOD! Just think...your 2% taxes that went up helped feed her and who knows who else. You should be honored to have done that..(The sarcasm in my typing is dripping from my fingers...in case someone can't figure this out). Now excuse me while I go throw up in my hands and rub it in my hair at how utterly disgusted I am with how fucked up our nation has become.

Now if she is be paid weekly thats 80K a year and 30 bucks is killing you? Your not living right. Even if it twice a month you should not be living within 30 bucks a pay check. What you should be bitching about is the real tax. More like 50% or more when you factor in SS, property, sales, income, energy, gas tax at the pump + whatever the government charges the company at each stage from recovery to storage to sales. Don't forget corporate taxes. you don't believe its corporations that pay those do you ? They pass it on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. If they want to stay in business they do. |
