I have an unsigned 1998 paperback edition of John Krakauer's "Eiger Dreams" that I'd like her to appraise. It's not a literary masterpiece, nor is it a rare edition, but it is one of the most relevant and entertaining books I've ever read in my life. I think what really adds value to this particular book is where I blew snot all over it while reading it in a snow cave at the base of a climb that Krakauer talks about in the book. I paid £6.99 for it back in 1998, but I'm pretty sure it's worth more than that now. |

Based upon that photo, and that photo alone, I'm guessing she's not a Faulkner fan, and that would be a definite show stopper for me. Look, I might be totally wrong. If she wants to tell me what a judgmental bastard I am, then that's fine, she can contact the mods to get ahold of me. If she's so inclined, she can even stop by in person to tell me as much. If she wishes to plead her case, then so be it. I'm not an unreasonable person. |
