Maybe it was the same referee that last year concluded there were not 12 players on the field. (This was after John Madden circled and numbered them. It was also the Bears game)
It seems like certain teams aren't supposed to win, and there certainly aren't supposed to be blowouts. I think the NFL has stuck it's nose into everything football and has decided that they can make more money if the games are close, so that is what the referee's do. They try to keep the game close without (usually) being so obvious. But when even my father (who has been going to Packer games since The IceBowl) says that the refs are being paid, off it is pretty obvious. |
