Maybe the Mexicans illegally in the US are complaining to the Mexican government that wages are falling due to the overwhelming labor surplus of illegal aliens let in since Biden. It’s undercutting their ability to make money and send remittances back to Mexico.

Obviously a backdoor deal was done, The feds no longer have to deal with it, and it gives Republicans one less thing to talk about.

Doesn't matter of course. Damage done. But a backdoor deal was obviously made and the Dems and feds can now skirt the issue.

And of course they will gas light people into thinking it was never actually a problem in the first place.

If you're going to import the third world, do it the way WEF darling Dubai does.

Extremely strict boundaries and laws and extremely strict consequences for stepping outside those boundaries and laws. If you want to be in the country and away from whatever shithole you came from you better work and keep your nose clean or be sent back or thrown into a detention center until you can be sent back.

And you know what? They grumble, but they behave and work because they understand the consequences of not doing so.

Dubai does all of this and the western communists love them.

Texas has roughly 1250 miles of southern border.  Shelby Park represented approximately .75 of a mile.  Perhaps it was a very convenient mile - but there are many, many more ways across that river.

The Mexican economy benefits from a pressure relief valve.  But tuning that valve is key.  Individuals come here, make money, send it home.  It benefits a LOT less if they bring their family and never send money home.

As I recall remittances from the US to Mexico are one of their largest form of income.

"Remittances are Mexico’s main net foreign-exchange generator, ahead of both manufacturing exports and tourism (Chart 4). Remittances also tend to be a stable source of income that helps reduce the government’s need for overseas borrowing in a crisis. Remittances in 2022 were equivalent to 4.5 percent of Mexico’s GDP, up from 2.5 percent 10 years ago."

https://www.lmtonline.com/local/article/texas-national-guardsmen-died-following-crash-18635592.php

A Texas National Guard soldier died in a rollover crash while the surviving one had a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Laredo police.

Officers responded to a rollover crash reported at about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 29 by Bob Bullock Loop and International Boulevard.

First officers on the scene encountered a white Ford F-150 that had rolled over. Police had to temporarily close down parts of Loop 20 for the investigation.

The vehicle had two occupants at the time of the incident, authorities said.

A passenger was thrown out of the vehicle. The driver tried to give CPR to the passenger, who was identified as a 27-year-old male.

The investigation revealed that the driver, a 21-year-old male, then retrieved a weapon from his waistband and shot himself, according to police.

Probably something to do with the cartels . I think they are largely the reason anything happens down there . I can only imagine how many US officials are bought and paid for by these people. Pablo Escobar was one of the richest men on the planet over 30 years ago . Im sure the game is even more rigged today and the profits are larger as well .

This is the answer. Eagle Pass is closed down, the immigrants will move to a different crossing in New Mexico or California that will be ignored by the Democrat state governor and MSM to keep the public ignorant of it while Biden proclaims he stopped the illegal immigration.

That's the second time you've posted that.  Zeta's were essentially destroyed by the killing or imprisonment of all their founding members.  Cartel D'Noreste is the kindler, gentler cartel that exists to make money and tends to avoid violence.  Not that they won't if pushed, but they keep a much lower profile.

Not likely.  That's a drug smuggling & military age male smuggling corridor, you're not going to get families w/ children to march through there.  Too much desert & not enough roads.

The hard part about going west is the road network goes through CJNG's territory - the current guys that chop folks' heads off.  Migrants don't like going that way.  We've managed to direct a couple of migrant caravans west, but it's very difficult to persuade folks the risk is greater at the Texas border than in Jalisco.

Interesting.  My read on the situation is the Biden admin can't control the narritive in TX any more.  The script has been flipped.  If they want to keep the flow of immigrants they need to divert them away from TX.  How do you do that?  You have to reach inside Mexico and do it before they hit TX.

Either New Mexico, Arizona, or California can expect to function as that new port of entry.  I don't think Arizona would stand for that too long before just doing what TX did.  So I'll guess they will begin routing people to New Mexico or California.

ETA - alternate thought.  It may be simpler than my initial thought, Biden lost and he knows it.  Abbott controls the narritive on the border and he just needed to stop the GOP from parading around the win.  But he couldn't be seen altering course cause that would admit he was wrong.  Having Mexico shut the border down on their side fixes his problem without having to alter his direction.

It's not complicated.  The immigrant situation is hurting Biden's re-election chances.  So he makes a deal with the cartels to stem the flow.  Mop Top holds a press conference and states that the Biden administration has worked tirelessly to stem the flow and it's paying off.  Immigration slows to a trickle.  Biden is re-elected and the cartels get free reign.

Sounds awfully optimistic. My first thought was Biden got them to stage at the crossing to divert illegals to other crossing points near by so they wouldn't be arrested. I don't think for one second either side (Biden or Mexico) is serious about stopping anything.
