Stars keep 'cornerstone' Jason Robertson with one-year deal Great news as a Stars fan. I imagine (hopefully) he’ll resign for a larger, long term deal in January. The Seguin contract is expiring this year, so we’ll have the cap space. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Tyler Seguin’s last year with the Stars. He’s still a good player but the constant injuries are an issue. If Seguin leaves, I believe Jamie Benn will finally retire as well. |

8mm AAV for Kaner? Good for him. There’s no way he’d get that here. All the best to him, he still shows flashes of his former self. And IIRC every game he plays is setting a new record for a player post that kind of hip surgery. |

As a die hard lonnngggg time hawks fan (since the late 60's) it is good to see Kane return to Chicago (maybe not for cab drivers...IYKYK). However, as others pointed out, $8 mil per is kinda steep. Yes, he will put asses in seats at the UC, but still, that is a lot of cheddar for a 37 year old. I would like him to continue what Foligno started as a mentor for 'little Baby Hockey Jesus.' For the record, $15 mil per for Beddard was more than I thought he should garner, but, it ain't coming outta my pocket, so there's that. I think the 'Hawks will do ok this season. Maybe, if they are lucky, perhaps secure a Wildcard spot to the post season. |

Well we could always bring back the Atlanta Knights! ...but there's Vegas now. A friend suggested Atlanta Kudzu! Strangle all the things! I really do hope that if we get another chance, it's actually with owner(s) that understand hockey in expansion markets, understand what it takes to grow a long term pipeline and be able to recognize real talent, and not schedule games so fucking early that people can't make it because of Atlanta traffic. At least I think having the arena on the north side of town should make it better for the folks that want to go. |
Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF1, would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.

Yzerman stepped aside because he hasn't picked up the analytics aspect and evidently Chris Ilitch and/or his cohort need that aspect. Never mind how crappy the team has been and any news would be good news for us right now. Apparently they made an overture to get Stamkos in '24 but it got delayed due to Ilitch stepping in. We'd have a solid #2 center who netted 42 goals last season. Yeah that guy sucks. This friggin' team...

It looks really bad, but he was here a long time, and well into the offseason for all of a sudden ownership not liking his approach. If its true it makes the Illitch's look way worse than Stevie, especially since they seem competent on the Tigers side. |

Legit worst in the league by a long shot (don't get me started on how we got screwed on the drafts) and they weren't tanking, they were just that bad. I was gonna change my avatar but I was so indifferent I kept it out of laziness ... And Ilitch overlooked all the problems going on, and instead thought "you know what this team needs? Analytics." He scotches the deal with Stamkos (later) and relegates the GM - a local hero - who was on the ascent, to a ceremonial position.Now what happens if Larks can't get traded? Is he going to set foot on the ice for the Wings again? Think the fans will enjoy that? Ughhhh Absolute buffoonery. |

Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck goes public with trade request https://globalnews.ca/news/12038168/winnipeg-jets-hellebuyck-trade-request/ I knew he was unhappy after the team's 25-26 season performance but the speculation is he was feeling good after the olympics when working with different players (US Team). If/when he is traded I will miss him but I do hope he lands somewhere that actually gets him a cup. |
