Nice.

I've got a Kramer that I bought in 87'.  Unfortunately, it's in pieces sitting in a case unused in years.  It needs a bunch of work I'm not sure I want to do.

Unless the parts are absolutely trashed it might be worth the work.

The first one is a Fender custom shop strat.  Came with Texas special pups and I wasn't sure about it.  Put in 69 custom shop pups and got that chime for miles.  it IS a keeper I'll take to the grave.  The other two are customs made by Ron Thorn prior to his being hired as a principal master builder in Fenders custom shop.

Schecter KM7 MkIII Artist. 26.5" scale, Fishman Active Merrow pickups, hipshot Ibanez high mass bridge.
This is basically an updated Schecter version of the custom 7s he got from Bernie Rico Jr (before they imploded)

2004 Ibanez Prestige RG1527
Looks purple they say its blue...
Go home Ibanez you're drunk.
I got a crazy deal on this new with a case ($568) from Vic DaPras shop
(yes that Vic Dapra)
25.5" scale. I dont play it much as I prefer longer scale lengths these days.

The OG Super Strat - 1987 Ibanez RG550. Traded an ESP 400 strat and some cash for this new.
Got this one at Vic's shop before it moved to the new location.
Dimarzio DP107 MegaDrive Bridge pickup, otherwise stock.

This was main guitar for a good while and has a LOT of hours on it.

1999 Fender American Standard Hardtail.  My one and only Stratocaster.  I was looking at an imported natural Strat with a tremolo at my friends guitar store in 2000 when he said "I have this American Strat here, but it's a hardtail."  It was $850 new at the time and he let me have it for $625 with the case.

That’s awesome! I’ve been looking into getting a hard tail strat. You should post it in the thread I made for Fender Strats as well.

Thanks! I think my favorite one of your guitars is the 2010. What kind of wood is that?

Thanks, it’s burl poplar. My favorite part about it is the ZR trem. Super stable and has a wheel in the back to adjust the springs.

Not sure if this fits the super strat category or not but here's my PRS SE Mark Holcomb. This bad boy is set up to shred right out of the box. She'll chug like an old steam train, and scream for vengence like a Judas Preist  solo.

Well I would say it’s close enough

I love my PRS SE. They have terrible resale value (at least mine does) but man they’re such wonderful guitars.

I bought this as one of those resale deals. I got it for $600 which was a good deal at the time right before PRS had their huge SE clearance sale and flooded the market with them.

Since he left Fender he is back out making guitars under his own name.  They are not cheap but his workmanship is second to none.

Here are words you probably never thought you would hear from me: I don't own any of those.

Closest I ever came was a Strat Ultra, but I never did warm up to it and traded it off.

The super strat is actually a Fender. In memory serves me correctly, super strats started with MIJ Fenders in the mid 80s. Fender put Floyd Rose locking trem and nut with a humbucker in the bridge position. The locking nut used a lever not needing an Allen key. Those were very well made. If you can find one, it would make a nice addition to your collection.

Yes, with a single humbucker I believe. The name has gone on to be a term used by virtually everyone to describe a hot rodded Strat type guitar. Much the same as most all single cuts are referred to as a Les Paul type guitar. But yeah I would love to get one of those.

NGD Today Charvel Green Glow (Reminds me of the Hornady Zombie Ammo) I'm not a fan of the pickup color, but a sharpie might correct that?  Seems to play excellent out of the box for my abilities.

I like the green and I would not mess with the PUPs.  I think it looks good as is.  But then I like green.

I know it isn't a strat (not enough strings etc) but MY green....

I'd like to get my hands on that Reaper. The offset dots and mild reverse headstock are simple sexy.
