I've been using a neat app called Watch Accuracy Meter for my automatic Seiko watches. It won't replace a good bench time grapher, but it gives you a pretty good idea of the accuracy of your watch. Make sure to change to 53° amplitude for Seiko in the settings.  My Seiko SRPG57 Monster:

My recent favorites: Bulova Lunar Pilot - Bulova had previously submitted prototype watches to NASA during the initial testing phases for mission-issued timepieces. While Omega won the contract, Scott secretly took his backup prototype Bulova on the Apollo 15 mission. It was worn during extravehicular activities (EVAs) after the crystal on the Omega failed. The one that gets noticed is the one you posted with the polished case and I save that for dress. I just got an alert from camelcamelcamel lowest price ever on Amazon just dropped to $272 for prime days so I bought a second one. Amazing watch, great story, 262hz Quartz amazing time, huge sapphire crystal, and and Chrono.

Maybe on the upper end of “affordable” but a great watch. The SPB453 62MAS reissue.

I have the 43mm Lunar Pilot and the silver dial "Gene Kranz", too. I like the fact that Seiko used the old "5" logo on this tribute piece. Really handsome watch. I hope Bulova expands the newer 41mm Lunar Pilot to a stainless case model; also, I don't really need the desk clock or whatever they packaged with the black case limited edition. I've never been a huge fan of divers, but wanted to get one just to try it and see if it'll grow on me... but I also wanted something with tritium. I thought about a used marathon or MWC, but I don't like the idea of buying a used watch and having the tritium lifespan already half done. Deep Blue just released a brushed stainless version of their polycarbonate solar + tritium watches for $149. Just came in and so far I think it's an absurdly good value for the money especially given just the cost of 15 tritium tubes would be nearly the cost of the watch... plus 200m, screw down crown and sapphire crystal. Their customer service apparently sucks, but this is my second watch and haven't needed it. I figure for the price, once the tritium and battery dies in 20 years I'll just toss it and get something else

I have purchased at least 3 watches from them, and considering what they cost, I am very happy. This SINN homage is 39mm and would be perfect if it were 42mm, but I I still really like it.
