You are still missing it. She is, right now, today, changing how politics in America is done. Those that can learn from her tactics, especially on social media, will be the winners in the future. Those that fail to do so will be the losers. I am no fan of her politics. But I am beginning to appreciate, even admire, how well done her political presentation has been. Stories like this one: https://www.elle.com/culture/career-politics/a25062833/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-congresswoman-instagram-stories/ are everywhere right now. She is lifting the veil a little bit. She is offering a kind of transparency that appeals to a very large number of voters. I am not saying we need to mimic her message. I am not saying she could have won with the same message in Wyoming. I am saying that her campaign reached a hell of a lot of voters in ways the GOP simply does not and can not unless they change. And that if they fail to do so the cost will be high. Dismiss her at your own peril. I prefer to study and adapt to my political adversaries' strategies and tactics instead of shoving my head a little farther up my own ass. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

A crazy liberal won in a liberal shithole and you are impressed. Next thing you'll tell us is Sheila Jackson Lee is brilliant. I am no fan of her politics. Hahaha! You have to be trolling. A socialist moron wins a seat in the house in a corrupt communist run state in one of the most liberal cities in same commie state. And you think she is really something? Huge troll or complete moron. View Quote She got 57% of the votes against Crowley's 42%, in a district thats, 18.41% White, 1.39% Black, 16.24% Asian and 49.80% Hispanic in a primary that had something like 11% turnout, plus in a scheduled debate between Cortez and Crowley... he didn't even bother to show up, he sent a representative instead. How the fuck could she not have won? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York's_14th_congressional_district https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandria_Ocasio-Cortez#Primary_election |

View Quote A lot folks here praise Trump for his 'innovative' use of Twitter as a way to engage his supporters. Those same folks are dismissing this young woman's use of FB/Twitter/Instagram as some kind of novelty. I think that's a mistake. |

Meh, I tried to warn them on page one. They will continue to be dismissive of her for one stupid reason or another. They'll make fun of the way she looks, the clothes she wears, the somehow unforgivable offense of not being rich when she got elected, or whatever. In the meantime, she will share her first day of congressional orientation on Instagram where millions of followers will learn more about how our government actually works than they did in 12 years of public school - and find her a very pleasant and relatable alternative to a bunch of greasy old fucks that can't even spell Instagram. Ya'll keep making fun. I don't need to agree with her politics to recognize the brilliance of her strategies. View Quote |

But that is not true. She doesn't know how our government works so how will her followers know that? She and her handlers will create a web of lies. View Quote They will still be more effective at spreading their false message than the right is with their gospel. There are lessons to be learned here and I don't think the folks on the right are doing a very good job of learning them. |

So far, almost everything I've seen from conservatives and folks that are not in agreement with what she is selling has been frighteningly dismissive. This young woman is a digital native. She is going to mop the floor with these ancient fucks that don't even know how to spell 'Twitter' and have never even heard of Instagram. She strikes me as smart, exceptionally savvy when it comes to social media, and selling something that if nothing else appeals to her constituents. Her appeal is growing, and not just because she's selling free shit. I see so many people dismissing her due to her appearance it's becoming a joke. People were making fun of her for not being able to afford an apartment in NYC and a second in DC. Could you afford to maintain a residence in both places? I sure as hell could not. And guess what? That makes her more relatable than my congressman, a man that was a multi-millionaire long before he ever got elected. In general, more representatives for whom the job represents a pay increase would be a good thing. If I were a betting man, I'd wager she's in the Senate in 6 years or less and on a presidential ticket in one role or the other before it's all over. You and I can disagree with her politics all day long. But we would be wise to take notes from her success and adopt what works where we can. View Quote It's for sure that someday the tide will turn against us, and we will need to prepare for that eventuality. Doing nothing in the meantime is not a good option. |

An uncontrolled weapon, natural disaster, or a large predator. A hazard, dangerous only by proximity, not by intent. She's a moron that needs to be ridiculed into submission, but I sincerely doubt that she could possibly compare with assholes like the clintons. |
