Druggies are the justification, the cash cows, for part of the highly profitable social services industry.
Social services industry is a large profit source for the political industry. Cash from labor unions, ghetto housing, ghetto food, ghetto medicine, ghetto law on both sides, ghetto tobacco, ghetto alcohol, ghetto marijuana, ghetto drugs of all kinds, etc. It's about unearned profits to the political industry. Unearned profits to biggest business. |

When I was a kid in the 90s, a guy I knew was obsessed with that song. Indeed, he did end up becoming a meth addict and later accidentally OD'd and died from fentanyl a few years back.

You could also say any sort of moral compass is weak, as most are “looking out for #1” with no shame(heck, been guilty of this myself!). I have been reconnecting with the Zen/Mahayana Buddhist ideas that I resonate with(I am very bad at Buddhism, BTW) and I can see why the Buddha believed in a “middle path” of balance/moderation and not going to extremism. We are creating our own problems/dissatisfaction/suffering and society is falling apart because of it. We can’t stop what is coming. |
