"Don't assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter (or not one iota; iota is the smallest letter of the Gk alphabet) or one stroke of the letter (or the most minimal application of the Law and its precepts during judgment) will pass from the Law until all things are accomplished (or from having been finalized on the last day).

While I am not personally religious, I have no problem with anyone who is interested discussing religion here. But just cutting and pasting religious texts isn't a discussion. Post of the day. I called him out on it the other day and said it was tantamount to spamming. He's doing it on purpose to get a rise out of people. There have been threads where he does this 15+ times and it riles people up. |

Not to step on anyone's freedom of religious expression but I think you should stop with the cut and paste bible quotes over and over. Does this mean I need to stop now. I should be finished shortly. My optimal wish would be to do this privately and away from the public community as a matter of not being interrupted. It only adds length to this, what I consider to be a necessary process. It is not my intention to troll, or otherwise spam here. Why should I want to complicate matters any more than in the minimal sense? I am fully aware of the situation here. Thanks |

I don't see a problem with a single thread with people posting their favorite quotes from the Bible. I do kind of see a problem with people coming to the thread to complain about it. What does it matter to people who don't believe? I'm the least religious person on this board, but I get the allure and am fine with it. It is remarkably easy to not click on a thread. |

I think you should stop, yeah. You can start a free blog at blogger, wordpress etc if you have some need to post a lot more biblical passages on the net.I don't think GD is the place for that if we aren't "conversing." Sorry. Quoted:

No no, I agree him starting a thread to post his bible quotes is cool! The problem is he goes into other people's threads and posts these bibles verses seemingly out of context, sometimes 10-15+ times in a single thread. |

I agree with the way he is doing it, but there shouldn't be a problem with a guy who wants to post a thread of his favorite book quotes. Of course there should be discussion on it, but if every post is "why are you posting this". That isn't right either. But I see both sides of this as well. Could my position be any more confusing?
The weird thing is that it makes perfect sense to me. |
