excellent movie, written and directed by one who was there and actually did it, lead actor was the real thing also, although Marvin was a bit long in the tooth to play the role.

Excellent movie.

One of my great-uncles was in the 1st Infantry Division in WWII and said it was probably the best movie ever made in the history of ever.
