Lots of Explosions

Dupe:

Is Hans Gruber, Tekagi or Willis in it? that should be the next movie they make. Not all the big action star names like Stallone and Ahnuld, but an all-time villian movie: Hans Gruber/Alan Rickman,Hannibal Lector/Hopkins, Verbal Kint/Spacey, etc. The scenery-chewing would be awesome. |

5/5 BFL for No Extraneous Kissyface.
Lots of AR bling. Weapon system cycling seemed pretty good. GF did not like it as much as me, but i paid for the tickets. The auto shotgun was shooting some kind of custom fin-stabilized mini grenade shell. The guy spent a several seconds of screen time describing the shells, while holding it in a closeup shot, right after the speech about how the sound of a shotgun scares the hell out of people. They went to a lot of trouble to lay the foundation for the weapons effect. |

Quoted: Any goofy gun faux pas? I don't know, can you set off a mortar round (cannon/howizter round maybe?) by throwing it in the air and shooting it with a 45? ![]() Towards the end when Stallone was pointing a 1911 at Eric Roberts (woot! Eric Roberts rocks There was a lot of stupidity, it wasn't meant to be a real shoot out movie, it was a remake of the classic 80s action movies. There was lots of silly knife fighting, and of course the heros and big name bad guys always run out of ammo at the same time so they have to fist fight. I almost fell out of my seat laughing a bunch of times. It was classic bad 80s movie with a big budget. My wife, who is too young to know who hardly any of the guys were really liked it. |

My friend had his head in his hands, crying so hard he was laughing at the AA12-in-the-hallway scene. I thought it was the best movie I've seen in theater. Now, I don't see many in theater, but this was really fun. That scene was awesome. What did he yell when he finished shooting? Something about Christmas? |

Took the family, expecting the girls to piss and moan (as they usually do, when I take them to action movies). The girls REALLY enjoyed it and actually wanted to go shooting afterward. They took genuine interest in the types of guns (and if I had one). I went to see guns and action and it delivered. |

Saw it today as part of a IT security demo, was lots of fun. If you like Commando and other cheesy 80's action flicks you will like it. Quoted:
Liked the movie, very good 80's style flick I don't remember shaky cam, quick cuts, and insufficient lighting being in any '80s action movies. I remember when the idea was to be able to clearly see what was going on (what a novel idea), thus Steadicam, competent editors and lighting technicians. Dolph Lundgren was the best part of the movie. |
