I've watched some pretty fucked up movies, but I am also old enough to discern what is scripted entertainment and what is real life. This show is honestly more fucked up than anything I've seen on primetime, and I think some sicko's are going to get off and react to it. Some shit belongs on cable and later at night, showing a TV show this graphic at 2000 hrs / 8PM is seriously flawed.

I know parents are supposed to regulate what their children see, but I am disturbed that FOX is showing it on the same channel as freaking Idol worship and Stewie. I watch American Horror Story, SOA, GOT, etc.... and this shows storyline hits my "that's fucked up" button.

Care to discuss?

It's a fucking amazing show and I guess parents will have to get off their lazy asses and actually PARENT their kids if they don't want them to see it

Don't get me wrong, it's got me zeroed in. I just think it's a bit much at that time. Are you Kevin Bacon?

Haven't seen it, but read the premise real quick.

I think the bottom line is that different people have different tastes. Sometimes people want or need "Fucked up" to get their head straight...

And like you said, parents need to regulate and or lock the television. Too many parents just let their kids plop down and do whatever they want.

I guess nothing really surprises me anymore, and unless there is extreme graphic violence and sex (I'm talking Spartacus here), I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed on Television. I can see pushing it to a Cable provider, but then you delve into another realm of debates about censorship.

I think this episode got to me, the daughter killing the mother. The whole showing the eyes cut out, and cult aspect gives me a "someone's gonna mimic this shit" feeling.

Take the whole parenting aspect out of the argument, if you've seen it and it doesn't make you twitch at least a little you are a pretty fucked up individual.

One word "Waterworld". Okay that was more than one. But Postman kind of almost maybe made up for it.

It was a little twisted. But I agree that parents need to do the parenting. I find it funny that the OP mentioned it being on the same station as Idol and Stewie, as if Family Guy is a great show for young kids to watch.

Wife was getting my oldest daughter(5) ready for bedtime routine and i switched on the TV and it was on fox, the first episode, came on and goddamn the first scene was gory as shit. Had to cover up daughters eyes with the quickness and change channel. Havent watched it passed that.

Looks like they are trying the same formula as 24, trying to see if lightning strikes twice

Flawed Hero, large cast, serial story lines, shocking violence and deaths?

Watched the first episode with the wife. Thought it boring for the most part.

Is this possibly the Offical thread for the show?

Watched the first two episodes to catch myself up. I'm hooked.

I agree that it is pushing the limits of the 2000 hr threshold, but like everyone has said, parents need to parent.

OP, what show is GOT?
