No protester, FSA or other living zombie has been shot during the riots and Other protests during the past couple of weeks and I don't know if that's a Good Thing or a Bad Thing.

I'm a month into a new job where I'm making less money than my last job with less benefits, but now I have to get up at 5am and have a 100 mile round trip commute (my old commute was 20 miles round trip). Oh, and it involves working every other Saturday (guess which Saturday tomorrow is). The Saturdays that I work are only 8-12, but I'm not sure whether to be happy that I still get half a day off, or be more frustrated that I'm spending 2 hours on the road to work half a day. ETA: the worst part is when I started this job I moved from VA to NY

My wife and I are both dentists and she's in a residency here. My new job has the potential to make more than the old one, but for a few months I'm on a per diem that brings home less than the old job, and I'm working much harder. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but that doesn't make getting up at 5am for work on a saturday suck less. |
