They need to stop being middle of the road pussies and get back to small government, less taxes and less spending. They need to get back to making sure the government leaves me the fuck alone as much as possible. Right now they're just Dem-Lite. |

On something like abortion...peoples attitudes are changing on that. They are not current on that issue. A lot of independent voters (me) look at things like that. When Pres. Obama was elected, the gop banged the conservative drum saying they needed to get back to the gop conservative roots..and they lost on that. Times are changing...and I dont see them evolving with the times. I see the gop like horse drawn carriages and the rairoad, the world evolved passed them |

They ran the shittiest one of the bunch "because it was his turn", just like they're doing now. They say they're gonna get back to their conservative roots every time, and never fucking do it. |

Right before the election, just as Romney is recognized as the front runner. Redo everything, because they are out of touch. They should just ask Obama for a time out while they regroup. Sure. |

Progressives love to feel like they are headed for utopia, but it will never happen. |

No,,,,after they lose this election....regroup....reform....come out with a better mousetrap. This one is not working. That is my feeling. I agree with less taxes and less govt....but they need to update their platform. To the person that stated it was romneys term to run...i dont know how all that works, but a conservative will always vote republican....liberal will vote dem. Its the independents like me that they need to appeal to....and they are missing the mark. |

Hypothetically, if the Democrats lose this election, do they need to regroup, reform, and come out with a better mousetrap? Or does that only apply to the GOP? |

Oh shit phatmax...i failed to see you have over 15000 posts....you must be an all knowing genius?!
No, just enough experience to see through stupid posts. And it is 12000, not 15000. You REALLY want the GOP to change so they make a difference and win? Get involved locally and get them to have the balls to tell leftists they are wrong and beat the shit out of them with facts. Being moderate, centrist, "mainstreet" pussies has gotten this country to where we are today. The GOP was ball-less in the face of the DoE and now we have public schools that are simply mills for producing Democrat-minded students. We have shit for cheap energy and energy independance, because of capitulating bitches like McCain and Snowe and a host of other "cross-aisle" cock-sniffers. The Democrats move to the left every day and force the Republicans to be "moderate" and "bi-partisan" through intimidation and coercion. Topics like abortion, et. al. are a fucking smokescreen for the left. The best the right can do is to say that no government money should be spent ending the lives of babies. Everything else is states rights. |

And probably not this one...by moving farther right you think it will get the gop elected?...wouldnt the gop voters vote gop regardless...so where would these new voters come from is my question? |
