You know what I'm talking about. The list of firearms you must own before you die. Over the past few months I've been working up a serious, no-BS list of what I really hope to own in the next few years. It can be divided up into several subsets:
This list totals out to: 26 rifles, carbines, and subguns 6 shotguns 30 pistols Out of all these, I currently own: 8 rifles, carbines, and subguns 8 pistols 2 shotguns I've got a long way to go, but I'm making good progress and I am very satisfied with what I own currently. Right now I am focusing on weapons that would likely be affected by a new AWB, and so I purchased an AR-180B last week, and a PTR-91 is en route right now. I've bought three other guns since the new year as well. The next few purchases will be 5.56mm rifles that take AR mags, to keep things simple. I hope to purchase an FS2000 (pending the outcome of this breaking ATF story), a RobArm M96 and a RobArm XCR within the next few months, and a TPD AXR and Masada when they hit the market. Later, I will focus on expanding my pocket pistol and handcannon collections, since I don't think of those categories as time-sensitive. So, let's hear about your list. Oh, and to head off any 'you should invest' comments, I am unmarried, have zero credit card debt, and pay extra on my home loan every month, and contribute to a 401(K) as well. So there. |

My list isn't very impressive. Right now I have a total of 2 pistols, a Glock 19 for carry and a Taurus 1911 that I really enjoy shooting. I have 5 rifles which include a 10/22, remington bolt .22, Savage 270 for hunting, 16" M4gery and a 20" A4gery. I also have a stripped lower that I may sell or give to my dad. The list of what I need is pretty short also: Remington 870 or Benelli Super Nova The list of what I want isn't major either: AAC M4-1000 can (that I am about to order) Glock G21SF Taurus 1911 in Stainless I am pretty happy with my collection and get to spend adequate time with each rifle or pistol when I get to make it to the range. It's not real hard to decide what to bring with me. |
