I'm telling you.... it's $50 but SO WORTH IT!!

Go out and try the Victoria Secret convertible bra with gel inserts.  The thing is amazing!

It has clear straps, traditional straps and a special strapless low-back strap.  You can wear it as a halter, strapless, one strap, racerback or as a traditional two strap bra.

I got mine in nude for versatility.  I wore it out yesterday as a halter and I couldn't stop looking at my bewbies!!  ha ha

I've heard it's a great bra, but I can't wear ANYTHING from VS.  Just not enough support for these puppies, and I hate the "double boob" look when a bra doesn't fit properly.  I've come to terms with the fact that I won't have a lingerie chest full of pretty, frilly, colorful bras in all shapes and sizes with matching panties.  Just ain't gonna happen.  I go for form and function, knowing I'll still have my perky girls for another 30 years if I buy the right bras, and don't sacrifice support for frills.

Glad you found a good one, though!  YAY you.

True, but Miss Magnum puts any Vicky model to shame. IMHO.

I like the Victoria Secret Bras, but I haven't found one in the size I need. And I don't think they make them for my size anyway. That's good though, cause I can spend the $50.00's on Ammo!

I'm a healthy B and feel VERY supported... but I've never had to deal with having big ol' milk bags.

I think they go up to a DD but with the added gel insert I think you might look like you had a life raft for a chest!  ha ha!!

I've heard people say their bras don't fit them correctly but I wonder if they just aren't wearing the right size??

I think they're some of the best constructed and flattering bras I've ever owned.

Um, I don't think I have "big ol' milk bags", thank you very much.  I'm a DD, and you're right, the gel insert does seem a bit superfluous.  Even on their DD bras, the side and back and strap construction just isn't up to snuff for me.  I'm a 36DD, not super huge or anything.  I just prefer more support than what I've found their bras can offer.  I've found better elsewhere.  <shrugs>  To each his own.

Well fitting properly is important - that is true.  I like VS's bras and have to admit that I'm curious to how the gell feels!  I'm a strange size and VS is one of the few places I can find my size [34 D].

Me, too.  I've tried to shop at VS several times, but I haven't found a bra there that supports the girls like they should.  I'm not a big fan of the wonderbra, or any of the others that have inserts.  The girls just kind of sit there on the inserts like a shelf.    My problem with the other VS bras is that they don't seem to support the girls like they need to be.  There's nothing worse than walking around bouncing all over the place.  Rule of thumb:  If you try to do jumping jacks and they smack you in the face, you're probably not being supported enough.  Might as well not wear a bra.

But then again, I hear that if you don't wear one, it pulls the wrinkles from your face...Maybe that's my problem.

EXACTLY.  There's quite a difference between the support needed for a "healthy B", and DD's.  I wish I could buy bras at VS.  They're so damn pretty.  And come on, we all feel prettier when we have pretty lingerie on, right?  But I'd rather have my clothes look, feel, and fit right.  When I try on bras, I always put my top back on to see how it looks under clothes.  I find the VS secret straps gap between the cup and my shoulder, they don't lay nice next to my skin, so it feels like the girls are just in a sack.
A bra fits correctly when the straps lay next to the skin.  That's support from underneath, not from the straps.

bra fit lesson 101 now over.  lol

I buy most of my bras from VS and don't have too much of a problem with them.  If I find a style I like I usually stick to that for a while.

I actually prefer braless.

Yup!  And don't even TALK to me about bikini tops.  WHY IN THE WORLD can they make decent bras, but they can't make a bikini top that fits better!?!?!?!

And yes, I know they sell them individually, and lots of companies make them in CUP sizes.  But they're NOT as good as bras.  And they should be.

The bikini tops seem to get smaller and smaller.  It'd be just the same to tape a couple of cotton balls over my ninnies and tie a piece of thread around my waist!  WTH?!?

Daisy,

Milkbags, to me, is just another laughable term for the girls.  You seemed to take offense....?

As for you and the other women who are amply endowed... I am genuinely glad I don't have that to add to my list of "things on my body that get in my way."

I think the hips and arse that catch on EVERYTHING is enough of a cross to bear....

Anyway, if VS doesn't work for you.. understood.  But for those of us who can and do wear VS.... these gel things and the convertible bra is the shiznit!

I got it mainly for the halter tops that I love wearing.  I've tried several strapless bras but they either grab so tight they create a seam on my chest or they gap at the top and make this weird extra bump.

yeah, I did take offense....not unreasonably so, since I received an IM from someone else about the "snide remark".  If you didn't mean offense, then no offense taken.  S'all good.
