I can sing Tool and sound like Maynard. Seriously. No I don't have any YouTube videos of it haha. My two favorite songs by them are AEnema and The Pot (not that I do it...but it's a beautiful song). They're great live...and IMHO one of the greatest bands musically and lyrically, ever. I approve of this thread! |
| Greatest, I'm not so sure about. I mean, I like them, but once you get past the filler and ramblings on most of their albums, every song is pretty much the same regurgitated shit. They use oddball time signatures, and Maynard did/does some catchy work with the Fibonacci sequence, but beyond that...meh. |

I love Tool, but honestly really didn't like 10,000 Days at all. I only like Vicarious, Jambi and The Pot. The rest of the album just really doesn't get it at all for me. Some of the filler crap on Aenima is a little annoying too. Overall though they are one of my favorite bands. Mark |
Oh, come on. Like the lyric, "I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this shit blood and cum on my hands" isn't in most popular songs.  From all the reports it seems little Maynard was maybe just a wee bit abused by his stepfather. At least that is the story he used to tell. Still a catchy tune if you can overlook the sodomy. I can dance to it, so I'd give an 8.  Mark |
