Unimogs are cool and all but ultimate?  No, not by a stretch, and certainly not for the price.

www.tanksforsale.co.uk/ has a T72 for 50k euro, for example.

Ah also less exotic (and much cheaper) but still cool as hell.

www.idahomotorpool.com/ has stuff like

Most of them are under $10k and run.

A question for those of you who know about these things:  What is the cruising range?  Considering fuel tank size and mpg, how far will one of these things take you?

10-13 mpg depending on whether it has a turbo or not. Tires, Driving, fuel (they run on ANYTHING combustible) etc factor in. They prefer diesel though.

65k$ Gets you..

A ferret (2, plus a truck to tow them)

A fox

A CVRT

T-55

BRDM-2

BMP-1/2

etc

Too dang pricy for me , but that is a thing of beauty

I love Mogs and will have one some day , but prolly an old 60s radio truck or something like that for about a sixth of the price.

IIRC that make a UNIMOG model that has a PTO drive and offer several farm attachments. There is a guy in Gainesville Tx that has one and he can mow a pasture, plow it and seed it......and then drive to the beer store and never get out of the A/C'ed cab.
