I'm about to finish Jericho so I need something else to watch. Is X-Files worth it? |

I think so.
I have seasons 1 - 7. I didn't watch it after Duchovny left. People tell me I didn't miss anything. I didn't watch it when it aired, but I just got done with it. When it's good, it's really good. Mostly the major story episodes (and I kinda feel they weren't as sparse with them as most other series are whic was something I liked) are awesome but some of the "creature of the week" ones nailed it too. But yeah, you can stop watching when Duchovny left. |

Yes OP definitely worth it. I'm watching the entire series right now to get caught up for the mini-series that will premiere in January. On season 4 right now. I've seen a ton of great episodes so far.
ETA: Just wanted to add I'm very impressed by how classy and well done it is. Like some others in this thread I didn't really watch it when it was on, just an episode here and there, and I didn't really appreciate it back then but now that I'm really watching it I'm amazed at how well crafted it is. And like I said it's all handled with maturity and class. Some of the subject matter could have easily made it a schlock fest but it takes itself seriously and has dignity unlike many shows today. |

She definetely got hotter as the show ran its course. She was kind of frumpy in the first season or two. My favorite scene was when she got the millenium snake tattoo. It was a good show. "home" was an exceptionally creepy episode, especially since that village is maybe 30 miles from where I live. The alien sotry line was always my favorite. |
