when you look at a thread and decide you want to email, IM, or look at user info you are very likely to look at the wrong member's information because the tabs are the same color as the section of the user below them. I have sent a message to the wrong person and I have received messages about if I want to sell some gun I have never owned and never thought of owning to keep some guy in mind.. I KNOW he sent this to me by accident but I would have to email him back to clear it up and I don't want to give out my email to some random joe!
The whole section of User info, Im user, or email user should all be located better in correlation to the actual user and NOT the user BELOW them... it appears to be in better relation to the wrong user in the current design. there are several options to fix this, the most OBVIOUS and BEST solution is to simply put USER INFO tab closest to the actual USER NAME that it belongs to rather than closer to a user it DOESN'T belong to, another possibility is to put it in the USER ICON BOX not in a separate location. the weakest but simplest fix would be to change to color of the button to light grey so it matches the bounding box that it's in thus not being so easily confused with the bounding box below it! If needed I can make some Photoshop edits to illustrate a few possible resolutions! |

All of those buttons are at the bottom of every post, and have been for years.
Changing it now would confuse everyone who has been here for years. You can send a PM or IM, whichever term you prefer, without revealing your email address. The only time your email address is revealed is when you email someone, which you do not have to do for any reason. Changing the basic layout of the site for a member who has only been here a short time would not be productive or appreciated by most of the members of the board. Is this possibly a phone issue? I ask, because I only use the internet via a desktop computer. |

Quoted: A line seperates each post. Everything pertaining to that post and poster is contained in that box. Can't be much easier. Can a non paying member change the colors in preferences or highlight the OP in yellow? Maybe cough yp the 24 and be happy; by ditching the ads making the screen more uniformed.... Just asking.... |
