How do you remove the CD drive and insert the internal floppy drive??? Links to a manual?? |
|
I can only give you advice based on my T40. There is a small catch that when tripped releases a larger lever. Wait until the screen says it's OK to remove the drive, then pull firmly on that second lever until the drive unseats. Remove the CD-ROM drive and insert the floppy, driving it in firmly so it seats into the connection. Push that second lever in until it locks. The screen should acknowledge you've done it, and you're good to go. Same thing in reverse to swap back. Good luck! |

I have had good success on IBM's website finding manuals for older model TP, just be patient. Their site is not the greatest. There is a 'supposed' IBMer here on the forum. He is The_Beer_Slayer. You might IM him, just don't tell him I told you.[;)] He hangs out in the Gulf States Hometown forum too. Hope this helps. ByteTheBullet (-: |
