Heh..that pretty good. But 3 1/2 days wont change anything, they will just whine and cry for 3.5 days and once back to their lives go back to whine and crying about the things they were before. No, 3.5 days every year. And since these losers in the protests wouldn't be smart about scheduling their time, they would end up not picking some good dates to do their "living in the wild" experience...so they would be scheduled for late December/early January, and go back to back, so their current year runs right into their next year experience, giving them 7 days out there.
Oh, I would pay money to just be in the woods with them and listening to the wailing and gnashing of teeth. If it some how came to pass, this 3.5 days in the woods, ah, I'd be in heaven. Its hard enough to find a 3 day weekend to go camping with work and everything, this would make it easier.
Maybe schedule it for Fall Deer season? |
| It seems to be about the same amount of bullshit that the OWS people excrete just on the opposite side of the issue. No one is working their asses off drilling for oil, piping fresh water, butchering meat, growing produce, running a power plant and so on for me or anyone else. They are doing it for money from all the way up in the boardroom to all the way down to the new hired janitor trainee. And the less they can provide in return for higher profits is the goal. Passing these corporations off as some kind of benevolent entities is just as unrealistic as expecting that they would give away their services for free. |

I believe the point he was trying to make is that the free market works and provides all Americans with a better standard of life than anywhere else in the world or under any different system. That went right over your head as I image it would for your average protester. |

I think Whittle is pretty spot-on. It's a shame that the hyperbole confuses some. I doubt Bill really thinks we should be sending "thank you" cards to Exxon, but doing so would make more sense than protesting their existence. We thank them by paying them their profit, which is his point. Too subtle for most. |

A broken clock is right twice a day; Bill Whittle is an idiot. Please, elaborate. What exactly do you base your opinion on? I have watched every video he puts on the net and this guy fucking nails it every single time. Please, show me some examples of his stupidity. |

Without them, 99% of all the people protesting would be dead within 2-3 weeks. The 99% are really probably 5% of the population base. If they died from not having access to the products and food that big corporations made and provided, no one....including corporations, would be worse off for it. |

Agreed. Send them two weeks out and let them walk back. Make sure to explain to them that no one is going to airdrop blankets or granola bars or pot. Make sure to tell them that some of them may die. Welcome to the real world. |

If only there were some sort of organization for boys and young men that would give them the opportunity to spend a few days in the woods. And maybe while they're at it, teach them some good solid values and personal responsibility. Maybe we should scout around for such an organization. |

Very good video. If we were forced to live like we did 200 years ago, I believe at least 20% of the population would starve. Over half, quickly. Unless some adjustments were made in terms of infrastructure before the switch. Heck, 1800's farming techniques couldn't feed the current population without a HUGE increase in farmers and farmland in use. However, even assuming you can instantly get that farm land available and have farmers trained to make use of it using those methods, there's still anywhere from 3 to 9 months lag time before you have any food from it. Heck, even if your scenario is properly staged, stepping back slowly and with adequate planning, people wouldn't know how to cook what they got, many people live too far from the store without any practical means of getting there regularly and no practical means of storing food... |

They are doing this hard work IN YOUR PLACE (which is what "for you" means). They are doing it for you for money. |
