I just want to take a minute to thank those who work long hard hours protecting us. This morning like countless others I caught the headlines "Detective shot". This hit me more than other headlines of officers, troopers, and sheriffs shot because my own brother is a detective. I clicked on the link to the story and I saw the new Providence Police Station in the picture. I felt a sickness come over me because this is my brothers department. As I read the story, I was relieved it was not my brother, but I could not shake the feeling that it could have been. I realized for the first time today that I like so many others take for granted what those in law enforcement do. I can't say much else right now except Thank You. |
