I notice when I put an animated emoticon in a post, it doesn't show up after I hit the submit button.  Anyone know if this is an ARFcom site problem or something on my end?

Dang!  Must be on my end.  Here's my attempt at posting one ––––––––––>

It shows up when I drag it into the Reply Post Box.  It disappears when I hit the preview button.  I can see a grayed out box with something I can't identify in it.

Seeing as I'm listening to the new Amon Amarth album....seems like the headbang animation would fit

If the animation box is still open from a previous use, it won't allow me to use it again. Close the animation box (minimize your browser to find it if necessary) close it and open it up again. Worked for me.

I had that problem previously - then it just started working again at a later point.

Problem I am having now is ARFCOM intermittently crashes FF when a page starts loading - only happens on ARFCOM pages and it seem completely random - wondering if it has to do with ads or other active content.

What browser are you using?

On the topic of emoticons can the site mods/devs/whoever add a tinfoil hat, leo tazing someone, and a "eject"(just animate the F14 one) emoticon?

Honestly, I went back to 3.6.16.

FF4 was giving me fits with weird (unrelated) windows popping up with error msgs citing urls that had nothing to do with links I was clicking on, or favorites I was selecting.

FF4 will probably iron out in a week or two, but it's not for me, yet.

Best of luck.

ETA:  Fuck, I wasn't having a problem until I tried to post in here.  I tried a static smiley and an animation.  WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY ARFCOM!?!?

ETA2:  Apparently my anger at you was enough to get that smiley through.

This. It is a Firefox 4 issue. Give it a little while, I'm sure it will be fixed, as we are not the only message board or forum to use embedded pics
