This is the high temperature ceramic based adhesive that Gem-Tech recommends that the A-2 is installed with, along with a peel washer:

flexbar rocksett  You will have to type the word 'adhesive' in the search window.

From my Gem-tech use, I found that even the best Loctite products are only rated at 300F, which is one magazine fired before your A-2 FS can be easily spun off.  The Rockset is rated at 2000F.

Just some things to consider.  If you don't have a muzzle device, a crush washer, properly installed, is all you need.

The taper can be installed in either direction and do the job, but the point of the taper is usually pointing away from the FS, in my short experience.  Some will say that accuracy can be diminished if the FS is overtorqued, so you can lap a few thousandths off the washer to properly index at a lower torque.  Likewise with the adhesive, you can install the FS with very little torque if desired, but Loctite is probably not what you want to use.

Yes, the Rocksett is still removeable.

Tapered (smaller diameter) side towards the barrel. Larger side towards the FS.

Spray a LITTLE clp on the treads of the barrel & the FS blow out or wipe any loose crap.

Slowly spin the FS on and off a few times to ensure there is no cross theading issues.

Install crush washer and thread on the FS. Torque to something like 15 ft/lbs. It may take a little more to get it timed correctly.
