Give the person who starts a thread some limited power to moderate the thread... Primarily being able to tag for removal by a mod or to be able to delete inappropriate/irrelevant/malicious posts into the thread. Make it so the changes are logged for the forum mod to approve or just check to make sure the thread starter isn't abusing the power by removing anything that doesn't agree with their opinions... |
it would take 10x the amount of mods we have here now to handle that. |
Why, are they doing anything right now?  j/kI don't think it would increase the work load too much. In theory it could reduce their workload... in theory.
It would work... maybe too well... since some people would self-moderate a thread to death... while others could probably care less and wouldn't use it at all. |
