[rant on] Ok…[takes deep breath]…I love my wife…don’t think a man could ask for a better woman…lately when we go somewhere doesn’t matter who’s driving…we roll up I get out to go into where we are headed and look around…no wife…WTF Now I know to look back in the vehicle…and there she is…still! The first couple of times I walked around to open the door for her…when I did…she takes almost a minute to get out…to me it seems longer! Recon from the last couple of trips reveals no set pattern…she fumbles with keys, water bottles, her purse and whatever else is in her hands or she needs. Sometimes she’ll look for a sweater in the back seat or trunk if we go into a restaurant…a sweat towel at the gym!? Other times she’ll look for something to put her hair up…or look for a pen before going into the bank!? I’m a pull up, park, and GTFO man…into where we are going…usually less than a minute. Not anymore…we did manage to get into the restaurant tonight in record time…3 minutes (aargh!!!) Am I the only one that deals with this…should I be more patient as I stand on the Phoenix asphalt in 115 degree heat waiting for my lovely wife? [slow exhale rant off] |
I was taught in the Corps to keep two paces back and to the left of a superior if I remember correctly. Don't worry it's just the natural order of the universe.

I am about to fall asleep. Here I was, expecting to read all sorts of pissed off letters on a computer screen and all I got was one measly GTFO. (Eta, a WTF was also thrown in there. You are dismounting correctly in a possible hostile threat environment. No one wants to be in the track/truck when RPG's start flying... Good for you for your sense of self preservation. However your wife is a liability. She needs to learn to dismount quickly from the vehicle in tactical fashion whilsit maintaining the composure of a dedicated, loyal and loving housewife as you enter the waffle house.... |
