Is there a type of yard spray to at least keep these stupid bastards somewhat away from the house?  Must be dog friendly.

This year is going to be a real bad one by the amount of these pieces of shit I've seen/pulled off so far.

Never used it for ticks, specifically, but Bifen/Talstar seem to get high praise. I used it last summer for the swarm of mosquitoes and it seemed to do its job. Kills a ton of other creatures you don't want, too.

ETA: the stuff is dog friendly after it dries. My two dogs were fine.

Only thing that keeps those shits at bay is a prescribed burn.

OFF! Yard Spray that connects to your garden hose

It's cheaper than most other brands and it keeps ticks, spiders, ants and mosquitos away for a month.  I couldn't use the back yard before I started using this stuff due to the mosquitos and ticks.

The natural answer is chickens/guineas.

The non-natural answer is Off yard spray of some sort, but make sure you check it to see if animals are allowed around it.

For you - Permethrin is your friend.

This.  It helps out quite a bit with the ticks in my yard.
