This damn thing got on my computer and is pretty relentless in pop-up crap like ads and stuff and it highlights user names, thread names, and stuff like that.

I guess I got it when I tried to download Mahjong Titans and it started running all kinds of crap before I could stop it.

I ran MalwareBytes and deleted everything including this Tidy crap from my add/delete option at Control Panel.

Everything shows it gone as I ran a second MalwareBytes and it showed clean.

MSE ran overnight and I just ran it again.

I also restarted the computer after deleting it from programs.

Any ideas on this?

You'll want to remove any add-ons it installed to FF, IE, and/or Chrome.  Also you may want to clean your registry.  A quick google search gleaned this.

Thank you very much.  It wasn't in IE but was there in Firefox, which is what I am using.  Don't have Chrome installed.

I had searched earlier and found a "Tidy Network update" but forgot where I found it.

Now to see if it stops.

Thanks.  Not done yet, but you put me on the right track.

Did you run Malwarebytes and MSE from safe mode? I have found that with some malware that is the only way to get rid of it. You might also want to run RKill to stop any process associated with the malware before running Malwarebytes and MSE.

Haven't tried that yet.  I will do that after I do all the other stuff recommended.

I want to make sure this thing is squashed.
