God I hope you guys don't think I am a broken record here---but I must again state that Obama is not black... Every time I read a thread on here and it says it--it makes my skin crawl. I mean it really does. I have stated a zillion examples on here about how Obama is African--he even has dual citizenships. He has one here and one in Kenya. I was just in Vegas. Met a cab driver there that is from Ethiopia. He backed up exactly what I have been saying forever. I was like do you consider yourself black? And he was all---Uhhh no, I am an African. My sister and I were talking to him about this for a while. He was telling us that they consider Obama and African like them. I am just not sure what is so hard to understand about this. And I am not sure about how many ways I can explain it. I guess it is what it is. To me his race is not an issue--he is a fucktard--period. But since America wants to make this whole thing about race (all black people are voting for him--/end sarcasm) I think we should at least make it clear that he is in fact not an American black person and should not be labeled as such... I guess I can jump down off of my soap box now... Did I mention I hate Obama??? |
|
Didn't he recently (jokingly) refer to himself as black? "Oh, by the way, did anyone notice he's black, too?" I totally get what you're saying, but he seems to be playing it up a lot himself. What gives? Are a lot of black or African people going to vote for him just because of that? Doesn't that pretty much shoot a hole in the idea of ending racism? Doesn't it just prove that blacks can be racist too, and in this case making a big deal about it? |
Of course blacks can be racist...And I think that sadly there are a lot of black people voting for him just because they think he is black as well... I mean the thing that gets me is why him---I mean black people didn't come put in droves to vote for Jesse Jackson--so why Obama? He does play up the fact that he is black--which is so dang funny to me. He is a nincompoop and it sucks that people are fallind for his shit---no matter the color... |
No. It means you are a racist just for pointing out this racis..... I mean this equality standard.... ![]() Seriously. This election will eventually boil down to, if you vote McCain, you're a racist, but if you vote for Obama (and you're black) you're voting for equality, fairness, hope, change, etc. |
So are you the official decider on who is or is not black or African, or is there some objective scientific criteria to these designations? |
Quoted because it made me warm and fuzzy! ![]() But I did not know he was a dual citizen of the Is this for real..Have I missed this all along? |
I am the official decider---why did you have a question? Yes there is a law---but it doesn't take rocket science..If a person's father is Italian and their mother is Irish--doesn't that make them half Italian half Irish?? So using that example--if his father is from Kenya and his mother is white---ok you can finish the rest... |
I made you warm AND fuzzy??? See why I love this board? |
|
I made a thread asking just how black he was. It was locked. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=725600 |
Yes, BUT I thought that American blacks consider themselves AFRICAN-Americans..is this so? |
Yes you did..because I love it when a minority and a woman tells it how it is concerning a "FUCKTARD" |
As long as you status as decider has been established, most of my ancestors are from Ireland, we are all pretty pasty white except me, I get out in the sun alot, and do a fair amount of welding, and two of my sisters were born in Africa, what races can I claim? If I am limited to something with a palette designator can I be in the category of bronze god? |
Since your ancestors were born in Ireland--I would think you might be Irish..However I don't know you so I can't tell... My sister was born in Germany---does that make her German...Hmmmm probably not... |
Ya like that huh *giggles* |
I knew two guys born in Rhodesia, and another two born in South Africa and they weren't black though they were African-American.
|
Not to side track this post, because she makes me feel all warm and fuzzy too, but the whole African-American thing drives me nuts. In my 40 yrs i have only known 1 real African-American(born and raised in Rhodesia) and he's as lilly white as my Irish/German ass.
|
I served with one black African-American. He was from Ghana. The other four African-Americans I've known in my life were white Afrikaaners, born in Africa and became US citizens. |
Not side tracking at all...I totally agree with you.. I make you feel warm and fuzzy too?? God my ego is getting bigger and bigger!!! |
|
I am pretty sure race is a cultural phenomenon, not a scientific one, and as such you can claim any race you take a fancy to, and conversely, you can also place any one else into any racial category you feel is appropriate. I think it is foolish to engage in discussions of what someone else is or is not, when the categories are apportioned based on personal whims. Back to the build a jeep thread for me. |
Build the Jeep in Africa using American parts and Chinese laborers!

Normally I am in complete and utter agreement with pretty much everything you write, but this time I think you are a little off the mark. First off, you are preaching to the choir here. The wrong choir. Your target audience should be the "Black Community" A demographic that is woefully under represented here. Secondly, what may be an important distinction to you, is nothing but semantics to the average American. Obama is loved and hated because he is an effective salesman of empty promises. He mouths his ridiculous platitudes with an impressive phony conviction unmatched even by Bill Clinton. It is Charisma, in the manner of Hitler, FDR, Slick Willie, etc. In that sense, I believe that he actually does "transcend" race. ![]() He has people of all colors and creeds anointing him as a Messianic figure.....and an equal amount people beginning to wonder if the Antichrist legend might actually be true.

If it is not an issue why are you harping on it. You do realize that black to many is a descriptor of the skin color and Africa is a continent and Kenya is a country. Me thinks you are a tad confused. Ultimately who cares whether he is black, African, Kenyan or whatever. It is his politicial views that I disagree with and his views are 'wrongheaded enough'. I don't even remotely need to worry about his color. |
Its not about harping on it..Its about people constantly thinking that he is a black man in America..If you want to continue being wrong about him fine with me..I am just on here giving my opinion. Obviously if you know me you know I cant stand anything about him politically. You know I disagree on everything he stands for and have stated so many many times. But am I allowed to "voice" how I feel on what so many speak about. If you think race is not a part of this--then why do people bring up his "blackness" at all.. Again it is not a worry--it is a matter of being lumped in with him when he technically shouldn't be. *sigh* whether people get angry with me or not--I stand by what I say. And if he gets into office I willbe correct much more then you think. He is not--I repeat the same as lets say my brother (who is close to his age and why I used him)..And I could go on and on--but why... Think about Obama what you'd like. There are some of us that know the truth... |
When I am around black people---I make it a case to say to them--you know he is not black--he is African and once they sit and think about it for a second they agree... Do I agree that people from all races are following him like the pied piper for some strange reason? Yes. My point is America wants you to believe that he is something that he is not. Once you look at his father and his whole other family you get to know that their customs, their culture , their religion is something that most of us are not ready to wrap our minds around. But as Lavar Burton said on Reading Rainbow---you don't have to take my word for it...You will see if he gets in office. |
So I will be a racist and wear it as a badge of honor... |
