| Im looking to pick up some tires for a 2004 dodge ram. Should I go with 17" with 245/65 or get the stock 20"s mind you. I will eventually be throwing bigger tires on with better off road capabilities. They both will cost around the same btw. |

I have yet to see a full size truck running 20's that isn't anything but a mall-crawler........ Brian While I'd agree for the most part, many sizes in 44+ and most popular military tires are only available on 20" wheels. "full size truck" as in GM/Ford/Dodge - not military tires on a off-road toy. Brian |

Quoted: I got my aluminum Hummer wheels as new take-offs from the dealer for $25/each. The mounted Goodrich's were another $50/each. My 09 Ram has 20's but I'll be getting some cheap ass steel 17's to put the snow tires on. They don't make very many good off road/snow tires in 20's and what they do make are expensive. Go 17's |

Quoted: If you have a GPS, or access to a GPS:I got the 17's. They are a smaller tire though. Which is going to bug me until i either get the 285/70 or 315's . I beleive its 245/60. On the smaller side.. Check your GPS speed compared to your speedometer read-out. My 315s put my actual speed at several mph faster than indicated compared to the stockers. I only mention it because sometimes I forget, and I'm just trying to be a gentle reminder. The PoPo don't mind reminding you in a more costly manner. |
