sure..but it's also your right as a citizen to help a situation. the whole "my car broke down today..damn you bush", "i choked on lunch today..damn you bush" stuff gets old. look at the big picture and offer solutions to real problems, a mindless rant like the post that started this, what good did that do to help anything? edpmedic could've at least said what he would do to fix the border..but it's easier to bitch than offer solutions. |

Nope just that people who have nothing to say keep their mouth shut. Anyway it seems Bush has dropped the ball on this. First he sounded like he was getting tough wait NG troops and a plan to close the border. Then it was to use them in the rear. Maybe that is when Fox said he was going to sue the USA if the Guard stopped any ILLEGAL. Then I thought he was going to make a real fence..Now it is Billions to a virtual fence with cameras and drones. Instead of to the Border Patrol and putting men and women on the line. Either be a man and stand up for the country and what is needed. Even if he would go after the business that allow these people to work. I think that might have a impact on the problem. You could love the Rep or Dem party all you want. You could worry about one issue keeping your guns and let the rest of the issues cause the USA be over run. I do not really see either party doing anything on issues for America. Unless it is in the interest of big business. Maybe your 2A rights are a little more secure with the REP party. In reality not many REP care about 2A issues...Not many REP care about guns. They do care about becoming a 3rd world nation. It just happens more guns are owned by REP and I think Independent Voters. The REP party would take your guns away if it meant votes for them to keep their jobs..They are not has Altruistic has you think. I am sorry that I didn't expand on my initial writing of this. I thought saying You are fired and take the virtual fence was enough for people to understand it was the border issue.... |
That should have been your first post instead of your lame letter to President Bush. "Your fired" That is why you got blasted. Are you aware the House bill is being pused through that will call for a 700 mile fence and a Senate bill wants to build a fence but only 350 miles. President Bush stated today that he is open to a fence in rural areas and boarder patrol NG and high tech equipment for the rest. Hopefully he can get things done before he gets your "You're Fired" letter in the mail You want a fence, you want better security? Then you better call your congressmen and voice your concerns, because the real activing is in the House not bitching about the President. |

Yes but the fence is a Virtual Fence paid for with tax dollars and uses cameras and Drone Planes...Some of that fence will be real....but there will be no one to guard it. The NG will have no Arrest Power Drones and Cameras do not arrest people. A fence needs to be built along the whole border. I would gladly pay more money in taxes if it really worked... |

This problem with our southern border didn't just start January 1st 2000. We Americans have been turning a blind eye to this problem for a LOOOONG time. If you all think it's going to be corrected overnight or by a wave of Bush's magic wand, then you need to quit smoking that wacky tobaccie. This border issue should have been addressed 50 years ago. Bush can only make suggestions and maybe pass a few executive orders, but it will be up to Congress ( you know, the guys WE elect along with the president) to allocate money and resourses to solve this problem. Go ahead and bash Bush and while you're at it bash Clinton, Bush 41, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. But most of all, bash the hell out of yourself for ignoring this problem for so long. The time for it to "bite us in the ass" is at hand. IMHO

Bush exacerbated the problem, and you know it. Bush was talking to Fox about amnesty with 6 months in office, along came 9-11 and Bush shelved the program knowing the American people would reject it. 9-11 occured under Bush's watch, and even then he refused to close the border. This is Bush's legacy. |

I'd reelect Bush if it was possible. I thank God there wasn't some dipshit liberal in the Whitehouse when 2 SCOTUS seats opened up. Hell, that right there was worth his whole 2nd term. And I'm sure everyone just HATES the 70 billion dollar tax cut that just passed...  You wouldn't see conservatism like that with dirtbag liberals in leadership roles.
