One of the platoon leaders I work with said that he had Tombstone on his TiVo to watch a few nights ago, and that he had never seen it. After I verbally accosted him as cordially as possible, he said he would watch it last night. He watched it and told me that he believed it was simply horrible and was comparable to "Gone with the wind with guns". Needless to say I've been doing my best val kilmer/doc holiday impression for him all day till he agrees to watch it again and implement common sense. Tell me, is there any excuse for having taste that bad? |
"I'm your huckleberry!" "You're no daisy." Kilmer had most of the good lines in that movie, but I did like Russell's, "Well, are you gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed?" |
<Doc> "Johnny, I forgot you were there.....You can go now" <Doc> classic ownage |

I can see giving the LT a break. Actually, the first time I saw it I really wasn't all that fond of it. It wasn't until I saw it a couple of times that I really began to appreciate it. I saw the error of my ways, and now appreciate just how much ass it kicks. "That ain't what he said, you ignorant wretch. Your Spanish is worse than your English..." |

extended version Don't know why people like the extended version more, it seemed drawn out to me and the acting just wasn't the same... j/k Vista Series Director's Cut I've seen the Director's cut so many times I don't even remember what was added. |

DOC Why Johnny Ringo, you look like Somebody just walked over your grave. (sees his shock) Oh, I wasn't quite as sick as I Made out. RINGO My fight's not with you, Holliday. DOC I beg to differ. We started a Fight we never got to finish. Play for blood, remember? RINGO I was kidding about that. For the last time, that Cheshire cat smile comes over Doc's face: DOC I wasn't. (pins on Wyatt's badge) And this time it's legal. |
Alright fellas, I always wondered, what does this mean??
I tired Latin to English and it didn't look right, anyone know? |
Gere??????????????????????? That's insane! ![]() That would be like having Mr. Rogers play Ike instead of Tom Selleck! |
Thanks! It's been a looong time since high school Latin classes for me... |
Tom Selleck????? |

Tombstone was a great flick...... In case anyone was wondering what a Wyatt Earp signed document would bring, this just came up at auction. www.rrauction.com/past_auction_item.cfm?ID=3152161 |
Yes. Selleck starred in a movie called "Ike" about Eisenhower in the D-Day period. He really made you feel the weight of command. His staff told him to expect 70% casualties with the airborne forces. With that info he had to make the decision whether to launch. It was a pretty good performance. |
