For those of you who are not familiar with the person in his avatar, it is the one and only, Emperor Norton - the only Emperor of the United States. Though originally born in England, he spent much of his life in San Francisco where he would be seen wearing a uniform befitting of the Emperor of the USA. As a young man, my great-aunt would see people like the Emperor and describe them as "colorful". Great-aunt Emma wouldn't call a person crazy. Actually, after reading part of the wikipedia link, he actually sounds a lot like our current president: "and currency issued in his name was honoured in the establishments he frequented.
