I went out to watch the shuttle take off and had to run back inside to get my camera.  By the time I got back out side all that was left was the exhaust plume.

The lil dot is the shuttle

When its this clear, you can see it all the way into space perfectly. At 7,000 mph it was still in view.

Watched it from the backyard but forgot to get the damn camera. Nice pic, couldn't have asked for a clearer night for a launch.

I didnt even bother to look over my shoulder as I was walking into Target.

After you've been close enough to get a shot like THIS seeing it from 25 miles away loses its appeal.

I can do that too from my HD.

This pic was taken by someone else.  The photog had it the Canon forum and I asked if I could rt click and save.  This was from last year I believe.

I saw one night launch about a dozen years back.

I was in Coco Beach (which is some distance away)

I am generally not easily impressed but it more or less blew my mind.

Something to see if at all possible!
