I've got the MAC Tools version of that.



It's about due for a replacement.  The plastic is all about torn away from the head.

It's a dead blow hammer.  The majority of the impact force is transferred to the object being hit with a minimum amount of that force being redirected back through rebound.

My first thought was your original pic (DeWalt impact driver).  I held out for a while from getting one, thinking they were all hype, until I bought one and used it for driving deck screws into 100+ year old joists. Now, I can't imagine driving screws without it. (except for pocket screws which get over driven)



Larger machinery would be my Jet cabinet saw. (I had to sell my 20" band saw when I moved)




Small tools would be my Leatherman (flame suit on).  I am never without it on the weekends.  I don't go 30 minutes without using it.
