I have a Polaris Sportsman 400 that I normally just ramp into the bed of my truck, but now I'm kinda looking for a trailer.
I don't want a specialized quad trailer, I want something I can use for other stuff. Would something THIS work? I know that bigger tires would be better, are the tires on this trailer something I could swap out easily? ETA; OOPS |

Buy something manufactured in your region. I would look at a 5'x10' and a 3500 pound axle with 13-14" wheels. I greatly prefer a wood floor. Look for a bull-dog type of hitch made out of cast components, not stamped steel. You're looking at $800-1000 for a solid unit, and you won't regret buying quality. They're out there, just look around.
The one you linkd to looks like a piece of junk. |

I bought one like it at lowes for 650.00 Use the hell out of it..Haul my atv..use for many things.. I did bolt 2"x12" treated to the floor for my atv. I noticed on other people trailers that the welded grating pops loose and curls up from Atv's Had mine for 3 years now... |

That exactly where I'm getting it. the site I posted is actually the brand Home Depot sells, but the Lowes is the exact same (I mean an exact clone), scpecs and everything. Right now Lowes has them for less that $600, and with a 10% coupon that brings it down to $540 which is what Home Depot is selling the 4x6 trailer for. I plan to eventually add a wood floor, weld some place for gas and water, and upgrade the tires. |

I've got a small 4x6 that has served me quite well. I've hauled my motorcycles and an ungodly amount of stuff with it over the years, it's more than paid for itself. It was made in Tx, and cost $350 OTD at GM back in the day I would love a 4x6 but my quad is about 6'8" long. |

I bought this one for four hundred fitty dollars two weeks ago off of Craigslist. It was made by Union workers in Winchester, Tn. http://i450.photobucket.com/albums/qq229/Sky_5/027.jpg I've been checking CL, most of the trailers aren't even close to what I want, 3 were pretty damn close but already sold before I contacted the seller. |

I just picked up a "Top Brand" 5x8.
3500# Axle 15" Tires Pressure Treated Floor 4ft Gate A-Frame Hitch. For $900 at a local dealer. Stay away from the HD, Lowes, Tractor Supply trailers...They run around the same money and have smaller tires, mesh floor and not a A frame. |

Free 12' camper trailer from a fellow arfcommer, with title.
2 evenings in the back yard tearing it down to the frame. 1 evening welding $50 worth of angle iron around the edges $50 worth of lumber from Lowes $50 in miscellaneous nuts, bolts, lights, etc.... Recycled aluminum from camper- made $50. Total invested in my quad trailer- $100 and less than a week working on it in the evenings after work. I haul an '07 Suzuki Eiger, and a '03 Polaris Sportsman end to end on it. Works great. |
OMFG!! Nice
