By the looks of your first pic, if all you did was dig out a 10 inch hole and stuck it in the ground, that could be a reason.
I dug out a hole about three times the size it needed, filled it in with a potting soil type thing, put the tree in and water it every day. We have a heavy clay in the ground here so I wanted to give the poor tree a chance. Our Dogwood is almost 5 years in the ground now, looking better every year. Give yours some water more often and see what happens |
