I knew a guy in high school that used a 12g slug to hunt those fookers.  Hit hit about 2 out of 5.  But when he hit nothing left but a twitching tale.

Can you make a pressure-cooker work right over a camp fire?

Got rice?

Dress well.

Pressure cook for 10-20 minutes (or until meat falls off bone).

Shred meat, add to a can of mixed vegetables, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of chicken broth (or use the water from the pressure cooker, although it won't be as rich as the chicken broth), some quick cook barley, 2-3 cups sliced mushrooms, 3 cloves garlic, 1 onion diced, 3 potatoes diced, salt, pepper, and a bay leaf.

Start the veggies about an hour or so before adding the squirrel.  Make sure you've got enough liquid in there to cook the taters.

No reason you couldn't.  Well, I wouldn't use it over a fire.  Coleman stove would work great.  One would just have to watch it pretty closely.

Thanks I'll try this.  Most of the time I just grilled the little buggers or fried them up in bear batter.  Once in a while I'll make a loose meat sandwich out of'em too.
