| Has there ever really been documented cases of American-Oriental restaurants serving cat? |
First, "Oriental" refers to rugs--did you mean "Asian?" ![]() I had a favorite restaurant in Beloit, Wisconsin when I lived there. I moved to my present town in April, 1982. Three months later my brother called, laughing his ass off, and said my favorite restaurant had been closed down due to finding both dog and cat carcasses in the dumpster. I didn't see it with my own eyes, but I have no reason to doubt him. As I said, it was my favorite restaurant--tasted GREAT and never made me sick. It doesn't get any better than that.

The Artist formerly known as "Fluffy" does NOT see humor in your post. |
Wave might be less cranky if he was driving a car bigger than a shoebox.

So, are you saying the very famous "Orient Express" delivered rugs? ![]() Anywho, this is from Wikpedia:

As documented as it gets. www.starterupsteve.com/swf/chowmein.html |
well while we're on that do you pronounce that "hell if i know" or "hella feeno" as in phillipino? hehe oh wait they're pacific islanders...j/k |
Quite true. Also, Iraq and Afghanistan are technically in Asia. I believe Asian is the more PC term for "people from Asia," "Oriental" is a term now not really used. |
I know that about 20+ years ago "Bill Lee's Bamboo Chopsticks" in Bakersfield California got into big trouble because they had 7 gutted and skinned cats hanging in the walk in refiridgerator when the Health Department came to inspect. I do not know that they were caught "serving" cat however. p.s. I love Bill Lee's and would eat there today. |
