Wild Turkeys have finally moved into the woods behind my house and have begun wandering around the house, etc. Is there a nuisance factor I should get prepared for or are they a harmless novelty of nature?

Go out and buy a turkey fryer. Then when season opens take your limit and deep fry them. Best wild meat there is, IMO.
