What the hell was she doing in the West Bank, in a pro-Palestine protest?
A 26-year-old American woman has been shot dead in the occupied West Bank during a protest on Friday, where Israeli forces opened fire. Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, who was also a Turkish citizen, is reported to have been taking part in a protest against Jewish settlement expansion in the town of Beita near Nablus. Ms Eygi was allegedly shot by Israeli troops, according to local media reports. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was "looking into reports that a foreign national was killed as a result of shots fired in the area". US Secretary of State Antony Blinken deplored the "tragic loss", adding: "When we have more info, we will share it, make it available and, as necessary, we'll act on it." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdx6771gyqzo |

I would not be surprised if the "protest" was less than peaceful.

Quoted: You mean plan on provoking the Israelis to fire, and make sure a foreign national is at the front? The Palestinians would NEVER do something like that! That being said, fuck the settlements. Quoted: I'm not defending the Palis. But the record of the settlers is not one I'm comfortable defending either. The settlement movement holds political power WAY out of proportion to their size, and it distorts Israeli policy in ways that are not conducive to good international relations. The Palestinians need to be removed from the West Bank and Gaza and sent back to Jordan.

There are a lot of "Americans" that don't belong here, as their ideologies clash with what we have as a nation. It is sad when anyone loses their lives but some have no problems taking them and going to places where violence is ongoing and siding with enemies.

If you come up with a solution that won't make Israel a pariah to every nation on earth, including the US, I'm sure Netanyahu world love to hear it. This is realpolitik, not wishes and dreams. Pro-tip: When in a war zone, don't throw bricks and rocks at armed people.
'Today, during Israeli security forces activity adjacent to the area of Beita, the forces responded with fire toward a main instigator of violent activity who hurled rocks at the forces and posed a threat to them,' an IDF spokesman said. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13821573/aysenur-ezgi-eygi-shot-dead-west-bank-israel.html |

No other Arab/muslim countries want them. Why do you think that is? A quick history lesson will tell you. |
