My Mom had a neighbor who had won a paltry 7 million several years ago. This lady had bought the ticket in early December and didn’t check the ticket until the middle of January. Not a big deal, but I’m sure her Christmas would have been different had she known about the win. Also, her long time boyfriend proposed after she cashed her ticket. I know, shocking….. |

I would imagine there are quite a few things that could cost you millions if you don’t get some expert advice before claiming the money. Finding a reputable legal firm and dealing with one of the senior partners would be a good start,I would think. Maybe moving and establishing residence in a state that goes easier on income tax before collecting could save quite a bit if that’s legally possible. That kind of money you could invest heavily in US Treasury bonds and live extremely well off the interest. |
