Facts of the case be damned, implications for the criminal justice system be damned, they were in their feelings and they were going to yell louder and louder in that jury room until they got what they wanted. I said it earlier in the thread and I’ll say it again. Women want their “reset button” badly. The irony of it all, is that even if a woman like Clancy did walk free, she and many of her vocal supporters wouldn’t be able to get “Chad Thundercock” with their age and looks working against them. The attractive ones might get pumped and dumped at best, because a long term relationship with a known a murderer isn’t the most appealing idea, even if said murderer has big tits and a nice ass. I have to admit - when I started reading your post I didn’t expect it to veer the way it did The "reset button" he speaks of is reminiscent of "Hall Pass" movie, where the husbands go out and are just old men not fitting in anywhere, while the girls go out and all have excellent dates. Planting the seed to make women think a mom's SMV is much higher than husband, especially if she doesn't have a McFamily. |

If all future jurors know from example that they will be publicly destroyed for not siding with a certain element of society, the entire purpose of a jury is circumvented. Juror, now identified should be able to get a gofundme to get the hell out of that area as his life might literally be in danger from some of the more psycho ones on twitter. Like if they saw him crossing the street they'd just keep driving over him. Then he needs to ue the media and jurors who gave out enough information to identify him. They made sure to spread it out a bit but they should not have been able to say "Only black man" as an identifier Narrows it down too much, while "crazy lady" covers pretty much the rest of em. So a juror dumped the "lone black man" as juror and then somebody else got him identified on internet and the station that went balls to the wall character assassination should face brutal fines for violating the privacy of the jury pool. |

Mainlining some copium... I think right now we're in the best outcome. This case will have to simmer a while until all this media poisoning of the trial drifts away. If she was held in secure mental hospital before the trial and since, I can see that as the best outcome. She's locked up in a mental hospital and if she goes back to jail, the options should be "asylum for life" or "capital punishment" (life imprisonment if not available). No "Set Free" option on the table at all. |

Guvs I iust looked at his and her star charts. He didn't cheat. She did. She did it. That man is innocent. Literally why are women commenting on this? Its a men's health issue. I’m telling you guys there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for the behavior of these women, they are witches. A modern witch trial would be more effective at dispensing justice then the handicapped legal system that has been compromised by the mob. AI: Yes, Lindsay Clancy would almost certainly have been suspected, accused, and likely convicted of witchcraft had she lived in Salem in 1692. The tragic modern case of Lindsay Clancy—who suffered from severe postpartum depression and reported auditory hallucinations commanding her to harm her three children—mirrors the exact triggers that fueled the 1692 witchcraft hysteria. The overlapping reasons why her circumstances would lead to a witchcraft accusation in the 17th century include: Supernatural Interpretation of Mental Illness In 1692, conditions like postpartum psychosis, severe clinical depression, and auditory hallucinations were completely unknown to science. Hearing voices: Under Puritan theology, hearing an invisible voice commanding someone to commit a terrible act was viewed as direct communication from the Devil. The "Afflicted" state: If a woman reported being unable to resist a voice, Puritans would conclude she had signed the Devil's book or was possessed by a demonic spirit. Harm Befalling Children As noted in the typical Salem accusations, the most severe charges brought against "witches" involved causing sudden, unexplained illness or death in children. Because Puritans believed God naturally protected families, a mother harming her own children was viewed as a profound inversion of nature that could only be explained by absolute demonic intervention. A Failed Suicide Attempt as "Proof"Clancy’s attempt to end her own life would have been used as legal evidence against her in a Puritan court. In 1692, suicide was considered a direct sin inspired by Satan.Surviving a catastrophic fall or injury would not have been viewed as a medical miracle; rather, the court would likely argue that the Devil preserved her body using supernatural forces. Historical Precedent: The Case of Rachel Clinton There is historical precedent for this. Women in Massachusetts who suffered from severe melancholy, spoke unacceptably, or experienced domestic tragedies were frequently the first targeted. In 1692, a medical doctor examining someone experiencing sudden psychological breaks or manic episodes would simply declare that the individual was under "the Evil Hand." Would you like to learn more about how Puritans viewed mental illness, or look at specific 1692 trials that involved accused mothers? |

Another witch hung her 2 year old son last week: https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/friends-in-group-chat-with-frankfort-mom-reported-shift-hours-before-sons-killing/3986065/?amp=1 According to the court documents, Walsh "had been actively discussing the case via group text message with her friends" up until just hours before the tragic discovery was made inside her home. But on Tuesday, defense attorneys said those witnesses noted a change in her responses, including hours before the incident unfolded. Members of the group chat described her messages as "confusing" and "out of character," attorneys said. They said she believed Clancy's husband killed his children, writing "it was manslaughter, please help I’m really freaking out." |

Would you like to learn more about how Puritans viewed mental illness, or look at specific 1692 trials that involved accused mothers? I question the pragmatic difference between "she heard hallucinated voices in her head telling her to kill her children" and "she heard the voice of the devil in her head telling her to kill her children". Having a scientific name for something doesn't negate its evil. We don't need witch trials, though. We need jury trials and swift, harsh punishment. However, I am questioning the capacity of our civilization to implement justice going forward. You cannot mob-punish jurors and still have real jury trials, the two are mutually exclusive. Remove valid secular justice from our society, and I will accept whatever remaining means accomplishes justice for the lost souls of children. |
