Item rescheduled for delivery on 1/04/10 
I know its the holidays and everything but WTF, over?

It's only ten miles. I went to FEDEX to get my CMP Garand when I wasn't able to be home to sign for it. You may be able to find out at the UPS website.

I was just about to post a UPS rant. I had an attempted delivery. Called the 800 number and scheduled a pick up. Lady called me back and told me to come between 7:30 and 9:15 to pick it up. After getting there at 8:30 and waiting for TWO FUCKING HOURS they tell me the driver put the package back on the belt system and there's nothing they can do until monday. Fuck UPS. They are just marginally better than USPS.

I was also about to post a UPS rant until I saw this thread. Had a package shipped from Larue with some very nice expensive goodies in it and UPS decided to take the day off. New Year's Eve is NOT a holiday. New Year's Day is. That doesnt seem to matter to UPS as the hub was closed when I drove accross town to attempt to pick up my package. Now I have to wait four fucking days to get my Aimpoint T1. Oh and did I mention I had planned on going shooting this weekend?

Usually it says "OUT FOR DELIVERY," so hopefully it will arrive at my door today and not go to some other warehouse. ETA: Monday delivery now. BASTARDS |

None of the hubs are closed today, so not sure what the problem is. Air only,no ground. |

UPS didn't do ground pickup or deliver today or the day after thanksgiving.
Yet another reason is hippet to Fedex ground- they were glad to pick my packages up today and on Black Friday, and in both cases that means my customers got their items much faster. With UPS my customers that placed orders the Wed night before thanksgiving wouldn't have had packages picked up until the following Monday- 5 days later. |

The company I work for used to use UPS for ground shipments. Tens of thousands of $$ a month. Went to FXG because of the service. We are actually spending about 2% more now but it is more than worth it. |
