is there a way to not preload them with http:// ?  When I cut and paste a URL or an URL for an image I always cut the http:// from the original URL and then I have two of them in the URL or IMAGE dialog box and have to delete one of them.   What an annoyance.

When those windows pop up, you'll notice the "http://" is highlighted in blue.  You need to paste your link over the highlighted area.

True, but it's not obvious.  When you use a computer a lot and see a pre-filled in text field and know you're going to paste an addition "http://" into it either for text or an image URL, the natural tendency is to clear it out with the backspace key or  the delete key, which requires moving the hand away from the mouse and onto the keyboard.  I've wasted a lot of time with over 500 posts now finding that you can just paste over it.  I always end up hitting the back space key when the field is has just been pasted to to verify there isn't two "http://"'s

Just my humble opinion.
