I live in Dallas area so AFAIK no USAA banking center close to me. Pretty sure you can't deposit a 30K check via deposit mobile. I guess no other option than mailing it in.
How about if you need to make a large withdrawal using ATM card? Wife says you can go to a credit union counter (having called USAA in advance) and they will run your card and give you the cash. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks |

I'm not a member of Navy Federal. I'm not a veteran. My dad was Army. Is there an Army federal credit union? ![]() |

Navy Federal takes all branches and DOD. Just like USAA you may be able to join as immediate family of a vet. Anyway, my point was that you could deposit to a local bank and transfer. It doesn't have to be NFCU. |

If you have a nearby branch of the bank the check was drawn on, you could take it to them and ask them to transfer/wire the money to USAA. I'm guessing any bank would do it for a fee once they verify the check is good. Nope Deutsche Bank.

<- USAA employee Call and ask for a deposit at mobile increase. I've never had to do it but I've heard it can be done. Not my specific field of expertise though. That will be my first move in AM. Also, if you don't mind. Would you know if any of the USAA buildings I've seen (one in Addison area and one in Plano) are equipped for banking. I figured not as I don't see them listed on website. |

I highly doubt there's a financial center - they closed a few to consolidate back in 4/2017 |

Where did you get the check? Nigerian prince hiding out in Germany? I know.!!! I was surprised. It is from Fidelity. I had to take money out of retirement to take care of some stuff. I will get a local credit union account tomorrow, no matter what. USAA will be primary but I need a place to cash checks. I dumped BoA years ago due to their pro illegal alien suckage. |

I had a $19K check that I obviously couldn't do via mobile.
I actually went to a UPS store and they deposited it for me no problem. I guess $10K is the limit because the "phone" isn't FDIC insured. But the UPS stores that USAA contacts with are insured so they can deposit any size check. |

Call the bank, they authorize whatever amount you want to withdraw. I withdrew 18k from a chase bank ding a "cash advance" on my debit card.
Call whatever bank you intend to do the cash advance at and let them know ahead of time, otherwise you'll have to go to 10 different banks to get that much. |

I call USAA and tell them to up my withdrawal limit from $600/day to whatever I need. 7-11 is free ATM and gives out 100 bills. For larger amounts you can use a local bank, call USAA with their info, and use you debit card at the teller. I think in the past I've done $3K this way. Finally I also keep a local bank for my business. I've linked accounts and can transfer money between them. e.g. I need 10k I transfer from USAA to the local for withdrawal. USAA is just so superior to about any bank out there that I'm will to put up with a little hassle with the cash aspects. Hardly use cash anymore anyways. PenFed gives me 2% back on everything with their Visa so I generally use that. |

I had a $34K inheritance check to deposit, and my limit was $25K. I've been a member for 34 years, my father had been a member for 60+ years.
Called repeatedly, and was told my six month rolling balance wasn't "big enough" to justify the deposit. I pointed out to them that just months prior I was carrying a $340K balance. No help. Asked for a one-time waiver. Denied, the "algorithm" didn't support it. Had to MAIL the damn check to Texas, and it took ten days to show up in my account. I was pissed off beyond belief over this. Contacted the CEOs office, and one of his assistants actually called me back. He told me they've taken a huge amount of heat over their banking policies from officer and enlisted alike. Told me it's a subject under active scrutiny, and they're trying to figure out how to accommodate the members without exposing themselves to huge electronic fraud. My limit got bumped to $100K out of the clear blue about a month ago, three months after the check fiasco. Bottom line: they know people are pissed off - don't let up, email the corporate headquarters. |

That's what my dad did. He was smarter than me. ![]() ![]() Had a charge on my Chase Visa that I disputed. Restaurant bill that I paid in cash. They must have accidentally run the card also. I called Chase to get the charge taken off and they asked if I ate there. I said yes but paid in cash. They said that I needed to provide the receipt as proof. I told them that I don't keep $30 receipts. I asked that they provide the receipt for the card with my signature. They refused. Long story short the customer rep supervisor. from Bangalore India, told me to fuck myself in not so many words. That's ok. I did about $140K with Chase Visa last year. They get between 4-6% of that, so they made maybe $8K off of me. This year I'll do about $300 with Chase Visa, just to keep the card open for credit score purposes. Fuck Chase. |
