Has anyone used those adapters to connect a USB printer to an ethernet connection so it can be used with an address over a network?  Pros/cons?

I cannot seem to set up my Linksys wireless print server correctly under Windows 7, and the software for my printer isn't supported (yet?).  Win7 does have basic drivers for the printer, but it only has worked if directly connected to my laptop.

No, a new printer isn't an option at this time.

Cheep print servers have given my only headaches. The HP Jet direct 175x is the way I'd do this. They're more expensive, but they make up for it in functionality.

Yes they can work and work well.

I have used a cheap Linksys USB print server for years with zero problems. Go to Newegg see what is currently available and read the reviews.
